Artist Susan Abbott received a BFA summa cum laude and an MFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art. She creates unique still life and landscape paintings that unite glowing color, complex design, and

compelling narrative. Reviewers from around the country have praised Abbott's "virtuosity," "awesome mastery," and "dazzling skill in the unforgiving medium of watercolor" and have described her pieces as "fantastic studies of color and form."

Her paintings are included in the collections of numerous corporations and individuals, including Oprah Winfrey. Susan Abbott is a popular teacher of painting workshops in Provence, India, Italy, and many sites around the United States. She resides in northern Vermont.
